We hope that such a club may satisfy the literary interests of many students. It may also fill the gap of co-curricular activities in the school. Our aim is to organize debates, literary contests and cultural functions. Two of our teachers have kindly consented to guide us.

Junk Food

"Junk Food" Is a food that has been produced for its pungent taste rather than for its health value. It is great fun to eat and it can look appealing but it is not good for the Body. It often contains added chemicals which make it taste and unhealthy. It usually contains a lot of animal fat or sugar. Foods like chips, burgers, crisps, cakes, biscuits are high in Animal fats.

Sweets and fizzy drinks like cola and lemonade are high in sugar. When we eat a large amount of fat, our bodies turn them into fatty tissue and large amount sugar can damage our teeth and skin. Junk food lacks the vitamins and minerals We need. Although people occasionally eat junk food, the body does best when it is given a healthy balance of nutrients from freshly home made foods.

A Serious Train Accident (Report Writing)

Roby, Staff Correspondent, Dhaka, 18 March, 2013 : A serious train accident took place at a place about one kilometer away from Tejgaon at 6.35 Yesterday. It was a sudden head-on collision of 6 Upakul Up Train running from Dhaka with goods train coming from Chittagong.
Three railway carriages fell down and four carriages were dislocated. 4 People died on the spot and 231 people were seriously injured. The Injured Were taken To The Hospital. Among the dead People, Only one Was Identified as Abul Kashem (30) of Khilgaon, Dhaka.
Train communication was suspended for six hours until the coaches were removed from the line.

Faizullah, Dhaka, 6 September, 2011 : The ongoing flood around the country has taken a serious turn due to heavy rainfall in the mainland as well as in the upstream country. According to Management Information and Monitoring (MIM) Division of Disaster Management Bureau (DMB), The Flood-Affected area may exceed 55% of the total area of the country. About 30 Million People have been surrounded by flood water and 56 people have been reported dead.
According to govt sources, all the districts of Dhaka, Rajshahi and Sylhet Division and many parts of Chittagong, Barishal and Khulna have been severely affected. The GOVT. as well as some non-government organization have started relief work. The armed forces have also been included in the relief and rehabilitation program for the flood affected people.

Rakib : Indiscriminate cutting down of trees are responsible for this terrible situation.
Anis : Is That!
Rakib : Yes, Of Course. Cutting down of trees is the root cause of global warming and most other natural disasters. Our ecological balance is seriously disturbed for this.
Anis : Then what should we do now?
Rakib : It's Very clear. We must plant more trees if we really want to have a habitable earth.
Anis : Yes. I agree with you. From now on I Will Plant a tree every month an take every care of my trees.
Rakib : Thank You. But we have to make people aware of the importance of tree plantation.
